So this is Holman Ranch. Located at the end of a private road in Carmel Valley. You pass horse stables to get up to the property. The ceremony site has a view of the Carmel Valley mountains and the property is absolutely stunning. It is a restored hacienda - original stone and tile with beautiful landscaping. There is a barn for dancing, a huge courtyard for dinner, a 'game room' for the boys (darts, pool, card table and private bar), sprawling lawn, horseshoe pits, grape vines and beautiful gardens. Pretty perfect. Except the party has to end at nine....

Wow Sierra! This site is gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE the barn! And the views look amazing. This site captures a lot of what you've been looking for in earlier blog posts (ie, rustic feel, quaint, nature, outdoor, etc). And ending at 9pm isn't a bad thing - it's not like you and Scott to party til 2am anyways - it'll be a fantastic celebration no matter what!
Hi! I have been following your blog for awhile now... ever since my fiance and I chose our location (HOLMAN RANCH!). So funny. I love LOVE this site, huge plus that it is so beautiful on it's own - no real need for any decor to make it better! If you have any questions feel free to ask me! I was really worried about the time limit, but we decided to do an after party at the Running Iron just down the street. It's a great place!
I just wanted to say hi and thanks for sharing your pre-wedding journey on this blog--so many great thoughts and lovely compilation of photos and info. We just started researching for a fall/late 2009 wedding and now can't help but be a follower of your blog!
Stumbled upon your site...I was married at holman ranch in 2003...it was beautiful and guests raved about it for YEARS afterward. I don't recall needing to end the party at 9 pm- so I guess it wasn't that big of a deal! We had a good experience although I remember the coordinator was a little difficult to work with. Definitely worth the effort of dealing with her to have our event at the ranch! We had very hot weather in late october, so keep that in mind during your planning process! If you need a caterer, I STRONGLY recommend Birds of Paradise!
i vote for this venue - it is stunning!
