!@#$ COLOR!

Ok, so here's my biggest problem. I'm an artist, a graphic desinger, a color FANATIC...and I can't for the life of me decide on a color palette. I've got my dress, I'm pretty sure I know my location, but picking a color palette has been the hardest thing to commit to so far. So, at this point I'm thinking some sort of combination of light aqua marine, metalics (silver + gold), and corals with fushia for the flowers. Maybe some neutrals for the guys suits - tans/browns. Ugh! Its so hard! But, this is what its boiled down to. I've ruled out green (too foresty).
Also, I've come to the realization that both Scott and I value a balance in our lives. So I feel that appropriately our wedding taste should corruspond to that. We're not too down to earth, and not too fancy, but we're sort of a combination of both - we like getting dirty and we like dressing up! So, I think the style of the wedding should represent that.

quick comment: i forget exactly when you are getting married but here is my 1 piece of advice...do NOT pick a color scheme until you HAVE to. I picked one early and changed my mind 2 times. The color scheme I am "stuck" with now is just fine, but I would have liked to change it one more time...however the invitations were already out. So just be patient and wait, if you can :)

I love the theme of "down and dirty" yet "classy"!! You are right, that's exactly what you guys are!

I'm glad you're leaving coral/fucshia in there, I think that it's very YOU. pink makes me think of you!! And remember how you want to have an all pink bathroom someday?

Get ready to have a TON of Chinese food this weekend!!

I love your blog, and I'm so flattered to see my inspiration boards here. But please include a link back to my site whenever you use one of them. Thanks!

I didn't pick a color scheme until one sort of emerged on it's own. If you're not super particular about have everything totally matchy, i would definitely suggest going that route. I started with warm earthy tones (that i thought went with our space) but found that I was sort of fighting them the whole time. And eventually ended up with a range of vintage-y floral greens, black, and white! but let me assure you that i stressed and waffled FOREVER. and i've been tempted since to change multiple times (this is the problem with being a designer, nothing is perfect, ever). but you will find your way! and it's looks like you have a sense of where you want to go anyway.
Cute blog!

Stop looking at bride/wedding pictures. You are going to drive yourself crazy.

Instead, make a list of things you love, find some precious items, recall memories of your relationship and let that guide you.

Forget about all the wedding planning hoo-ha and think about what moves you instead. You will find your colors. And trust me, whatever you decide on, there will be PLENTY of products out there to help coordinate and tie it all together.
